Set up two-factor authentication

Add a second layer of security to your account with an authenticator app.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) protects your account by requiring a one-time code from your phone in addition to your password.

Before you start: an authenticator app on your phone (e.g. Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password).

Turn on 2FA

  1. Open Account → Security.
  2. Select Enable two-factor authentication.
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app (or enter the setup key manually).
  4. Enter the 6-digit code from the app to confirm, then save.
  5. Save your recovery codes somewhere safe — they let you sign in if you lose your phone.

If you lose access

Use a recovery code on the sign-in screen, or contact support to verify your identity and reset 2FA.
